The Branching Out Charity Shop, which is on 12 High Street, Littleport, was recently closed while it was given an extensive makeover by their
enthusiastic and hardworking staff, volunteers and the individuals they support with learning difficulties.
It first opened around 9 years ago and raises money to provide work based training for people with learning disabilities in the local
Branching Out currently supports around 40 people with a variety of learning disabilities to be part of the community and have confidence and self-worth.
Susan Wiggans, General Manager of Branching Out said “The shop looks amazing! We are all so proud of how a major project has come together. Everyone has been involved in the project the people with disabilities in the Sapling Project made all the new fixtures and fittings and we all got stuck in with paint brushes to bring bthe shop back to life and it is our present to Littleport to have a beautiful shop at the heart of the community, serving the community.”
